Wedding ceremonies come in a wide variety of styles. Some require more of my involvement than others - I am happy to be there to help with as much or as little as you want! Review the list below for a general outline of services and associated pricing. If you have something else in mind or any questions at all - get in touch and we can discuss!
Traditional Wedding: The full package! This service includes... - Getting to know each other - Planning your customized ceremony - Performing your legal ceremony at the venue - Preparing the legal documentation to register your wedding and obtain your marriage license Cost: Starts at $500 (Additonal costs may depend on extra services being provided, length of ceremony, and location of venue - see more below)
Mini Wedding: A small, simple, intimate affair. This service includes... - Performing your legal ceremony in a casual space, such as a park or backyard - A non-customized ceremony that checks the boxes of a legal wedding (you are welcome to exchange your own vows) Cost: Starts at $350 (Additonal costs depend on extra services being provided, length of ceremony, and location of venue - see more below)
Paperwork only: The bare minimum. This service includes... - Marrying you by simply checking the legal boxes necessary (following a generic script) at a locaton of your choosing - Can be performed at my home for the lowest possible cost (you simply need to arrive at an agreed upon time, along with 2 witnesses) Cost: Starts at $200 (Additonal costs may depend on extra services being provided, length of ceremony, and location)
Destination Wedding: Outside of Ontario. This service includes... - Getting to know each other - Planning your customized ceremony - Performing your legal ceremony somewhere in Ontario (this can just be the paperwork) - Travelling with you to perform a meaningful symbolic ceremony - Preparing the legal documentation to register your wedding and obtain your marriage license Cost: Same as the traditional wedding package (a base of $500), plus more depending on locaton (travel time and commitment).
Extra Services + Costs
What do I mean by 'extra services', and what determines the length of your ceremony?
A basic ceremony that includes my portion (customized for you), your vows, a ring exchange, and one or two small traditions (such as stepping on a glass or lighting a unity candle), will typically last 15-30 minutes. If you want to include additional custom elements that stretch the ceremony longer than that, we can discuss what that may cost.
In addition to the length of the ceremony itself, extra costs may be determined based on how long you need me to be at the venue location. For example, some couples request that I come for a rehearsal ceremony, or simply that I arrive early in preparation. This extra time can be discussed and baked into the total price.
In terms of location, the base costs listed above reflect ceremonies at locations within a certain limit (essentially across the GTA). I am happy to discuss traveling outside of the GTA for an additional cost.
Vows
Are you feeling anxious about writing your own vows? A special extra service that I can provide is to write your vows on your behalf. This would involve gathering extra information + sentiments from you to help me write the perfect vow(s). This is an extra cost that I can include in any wedding package.
